Coming this Fall: The Noble Eightfold Path

Mondays, October 20th - December 8th from 9:30 am - 11:30 am ET.

In the Third Ennobling Truth, the Buddha makes the remarkable statement that it is possible to experience the cessation of Dukkha. In the Fourth Noble Truth, the Buddha describes the Noble Eightfold Path as the way of practice leading to the cessation of Dukkha. This is not some belief system to take on, nor a philosophy to be debated. Rather it is a very accessible (if sometimes challenging) guide for living and practicing in the world. And while this can be viewed as an individual prescription / instruction manual: If I behave this way, I will suffer less, as we take on engagement with and investigation of the eight limbs of the path, we find that this path has a deeply ethical nature that opens the way for us to live a life of non-harming and joy in every circumstance. It is a path that touches every aspect of our lives and relationships.

Come join us as we investigate and practice cultivating appropriate "seeing, thinking, talking, acting, working, trying, recollecting, and gathering".

As always, each class will include practice, instruction and talks, as well as group dialogue and inquiry. There will be ongoing practice assignments each week.
