Stronger Together - Taking Our Refuge in the Sangha Out into the World (co-led with Julie Novas)

  • New York Insight Meditation Center 28 West 27th Street, 10th Floor New York, NY, 10001 United States (map)

In the face of oppression and marginalization, how do we move through the world skillfully – connected to the breath, the body, the heart, the moment, and each other? In a world that attempts to objectify us, how do we claim ourselves as subject and move in with compassionate action? Join us for this one day exploration of mindfulness based practices to provide us with tools and techniques to build resistance and resilience to oppression. We are stronger together, we are meant to thrive and this day is designed not only to serve as a refuge, but to collectively cultivate practices that will support us during these uncertain and trying times. Please note that this day long is a relational exploration with periods of silence.

This daylong is intended for only those who identify as LGBTQIA+.
